People who are living with Type 2 diabetes should: check and monitor glucose levels daily, eat low calorie foods, limit the number of carbohydrates consumed, track daily caloric intake, take medication and/or insulin as prescribed, exercise, maintain A1C goal, quit smoking, avoid drinking alcohol and follow-up with your doctor regularly.
